Job Description & SummaryAt PwC, our people in audit and assurance focus on providing independent and objective assessments of financial statements, internal controls, and other assurable information enhancing the credibility and reliability of this information with a variety of stakeholders. They evaluate compliance with regulations including assessing governance and risk management processes and related controls.

In financial statement audit at PwC, you will focus on obtaining reasonable assurance about whether the financial statements as a whole are free from material misstatement, whether due to fraud or error, and to issue an auditor's report that includes the auditor's opinion.

Primary Responsibilities
* Assist with audit assignments for a variety of business types.
* Perform and document audit work on specifically assigned areas of the audit, under the supervision of an audit senior or manager.

Other duties: compliance testing of selected transactions; circularisation of selected interim and year end ledger balances; physical inspection tests (eg. inventory observations) and the review of accounting records for patterns, oddities and potential problems

* Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
* A team builder with a positive attitude, who has a demonstrated ability to deal with staff at all levels.
* Strong problem-solving skills, exhibiting exceptional time management and organizational skills.
* Ability to work under pressure.
* Impeccable ethical standards, discretion, integrity, objectivity, confidence, dedication and can maintain confidentiality.

Education Level (minimum requirement plus any additional desirable qualifications):
* Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
* Good knowledge of auditing and accounting standards.
