Keeping our people safe and well at work is a top priority at Amazon. Our Safety Specialists play an integral part in making this happen. In this role, you'll put the vital steps in place to make sure everyone at your location works in a safe and healthy environment. This is a hands-on opportunity to make a difference to people every day. By proactively keeping them safe, you'll also empower them to feel confident in their roles and motivated to do their best work.

Key job responsibilities
Monitor site performance against set KPIs and create plans to improve processes.
Set up workplace health and safety programmes and arrange training sessions.
Analyse safety metrics and incident trends to help colleagues plan appropriate resources for areas with the highest risk.
Carry out audits to make sure your site is compliant with relevant health and safety laws and implement solutions where you identify risks.

A day in the life
You'll be based on location at one of our sites, which could be one of our fulfilment centres, sortation centres or delivery stations. Being on site means that you can keep a close eye on the processes. As well as helping us stay on top of health and safety compliance, you'll spot potential issues and identify opportunities for improvement. That means working closely with people across the business to get to know the risks they experience and gathering data to identify smarter and safer ways that we can work. You'll also set up training and other programmes to help everyone follow new safety processes and reach new standards.

About the team
The Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) team plays a crucial role in keeping our people mentally and physically well at work. Our team works with managers, associates and local governments across our sites, ensuring compliance with Amazon's policies and legal regulations, and guaranteeing the safety of our work environments. The team offers a variety of opportunities, from Safety Technicians to Programme Managers. Regardless of your role, you'll contribute to the development and implementation of the safety strategy across the entire network

Profil requis du candidat:

- Experience in English-language communication skills, both written and verbal
- A degree, or equivalent level of qualification in-line with the European Qualifications Framework (EQF), in the Occupational Safety field.
- Alternative a NEBOSH Diploma or an IOSH Diploma is required.
- Relevant experience complying with local Health and Safety legislation.
- Experience with Lean, 5S or Kaizen methodologies.
- Experience planning or managing environmentally conscious initiatives.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
