Job Description:
Are you passionate about organic performance and excited about how AI is transforming search? At Merkle, we're expanding our team and looking for a SEO Specialist who wants to work at the forefront of both traditional SEO and AI-driven search.
You'll join one of Sweden's strongest organic search teams and work with major national and international brands. You will report to our Head of SEO.

About the role

This is a role for someone who enjoys going deep into content optimization: strategy, structured data, site performance, information architecture - and increasingly: AI discoverability and preparing websites for LLM-driven discovery.
You'll work across all SEO disciplines but with a strong content focus. You'll collaborate closely with other teams and help shape the future of SEO inside merkle & dentsu.

Your responsibilities

* Conduct keyword research, content audits, and manage content SEO projects
* Optimise landing pages and ensure strong on-page fundamentals
* Evaluate website health based on technical, structural and content best practices
* Drive SEO initiatives from idea to implementation
* Support key stake holders with SEO insights, recommendations and strategy
* Handle monthly & quarterly reporting for your client portfolio
* Help clients adapt to the future of SEO by incorporating AI-related considerations into audits, recommendations and optimization work (such as site structure, content signals and technical readiness for AI-driven search).

What you bring

* Minimum 3 years of hands-on SEO experience, preferably with a strong focus on content
* Experience with tools like Screaming Frog, GA4, GSC, Ahrefs, Looker Studio
* Solid understanding of HTML, CSS and JavaScript (bonus if you can troubleshoot)
* Familiarity with log file analysis, rendering challenges, and modern web stacks
* Curiosity and enthusiasm for AI's impact on search and user behaviour
* Strong project management and structured work style
* Fluency in Swedish and English

What we offer

* A role where SEO content & strategy is truly prioritised
* The opportunity to work hands-on with next-generation SEO and AI-driven search
* A clear career path within Merkle's performance framework
* A collaborative team that shares knowledge and lifts each other
* Breakfast, lunch, social events, sports… and a culture with high standards and low ego
