The actual location of this job is in Visp, Switzerland.
The Trainee will be part and responsible to support the logistics operational excellence team in Visp and it's project leads within the execution of EO improvement/efficiency projects. The trainee will support from the definition phase to the improvement / implementation phase to optimize E2E Logistics processes at the visp site.
The role of this person is to support and maintain structures (e.g. organization, decision, communication, documentation flows, in accordance with project management, in order to respect project management processes and increase project team efficiency.
The hired candidate will be responsible for specific project tasks. These tasks will include developing metrics, tracking progress, prepare and orchestrate workshops and reporting to management. The purpose is to assist project leads and the logistics teams.
They will also act as an active support for preparing regular reviews of the ongoing projects and highlight current issues/gaps.

What you will do:
* Responsible for internal coordination and support of project tasks in order to balance the effort of the overall Logistics and Supply Chain team.
* Participate and support in coordinating, issuing project related general and specific documents, reports and presentations.
* Co-ordination and follow up with cross-functional departments (Logistics, Plant Logistics, Supply Chain), tracking activities and deliverables (like list of deliverables, installation list and timely issue of deliverables).
* Responsible for the development of PowerBI dashboards.
* Organize internal workshops and support team members to establish agendas, meeting minutes, actions lists etc.
* Support daily management activities by providing assistance in monitoring and tracking important metrics on a daily and monthly basis. Aid in the implementation and tracking of planned activities.
What we are looking for:
* Degree or ongoing studies in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (B.Sc., M.Sc., Dipl. Ing., or equivalent).
* Initial knowledge or strong interest in chemical and/or pharmaceutical supply chains is a plus.
* Curiosity and openness to work across different disciplines.
* Motivated and proactive team player with a willingness to learn and contribute.
* Good knowledge of common IT tools; experience with SharePoint, Power BI, and Excel is an advantage.
* Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
* Flexible mindset with the ability to adapt to changing priorities, timelines, and tasks.
* Basic analytical and problem-solving skills with a desire to develop them further.
* Clear and confident written and verbal communication skills.
* Willingness to support administrative and organizational tasks as part of the learning role.
* Reliable and persistent in following up with partners to collect required information.
* Interest in process improvement methodologies; Lean Six Sigma knowledge or certification is a plus.
* Good command of English and German.
* First exposure to a cGMP environment is beneficial but not required.
