Level: Master students / Final-year Bachelor (Cybersecurity, IT, Engineering)

About the Internship

We are offering internship opportunities within our Network & Cloud Security (NetSec) team.
This internship provides hands-on exposure to real-world enterprise security environments, covering:
* Cloud Security
* OT / Industrial Security
* Detection & Response
* Infrastructure as Code
* Security Innovation & Automation

Interns will work on strategic, technical, and research-oriented projects with the objective of producing deployable solutions, proof-of-concepts, comparative studies, or automation frameworks.

Internship Topics
Below is a non-exhaustive list of possible subjects.

Cloud Security
* Microsoft Security Copilot
* Development of automated O365 / Azure / AWS audit tools (CIS, MS DSC, ISO frameworks)
* Zero Trust architecture implementation in AWS, Azure, and GCP
* Incident response & digital forensics in cloud environments
* Data encryption strategies (at rest & in transit)
* Microsoft Priva (GRC / ISG integration)

Projects may include:
* Automation development
* Compliance alignment
* Architecture design
* Risk analysis and mitigation

Focus areas:
* Pipeline automation
* Secure coding best practices
* Cloud-native security controls

OT & Industrial Security
* Creation of an OT lab (IEC104, Modbus, MQTT, DNP3, TIA Portal)
* OT solution comparison (Armis, Defender for OT, Nozomi, Trend Micro)
* Secure remote access in ICS environments (VPN, jump servers, OT PAM)
* (I)IoT device security assessment & hardening
* OT honeypot deployment and threat analysis
* Embedded device security in industrial control systems

Projects may involve:
* Lab simulation
* Vulnerability assessment
* Hardening implementation
* Comparative evaluation reports

General Cybersecurity & Innovation
* DLP technology comparison (Varonis, Netskope, Microsoft Purview)
* Fortinet full fabric implementation
* SYSLOG / Mini-SIEM implementation
* AI-driven firewall or threat detection research (inspired by Darktrace-like models)
* Splunk architecture deployment via Terraform & Ansible
* Puppet server automation project
* Secure deployment of local AI (ChatGPT-like) with sandboxing & risk mitigation
* Advanced malware analysis & reverse engineering
* Compliance automation (GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS)
* XDR / EDR comparison (HarfangLab, Defender, Trend Micro, etc.)
* SIEM comparison (Splunk, Sentinel, QRadar, ELK, open-source)
* MS PKI lab implementation
* Active Directory compromise & secure migration scenario
* Gamified social engineering awareness platform
* Social engineering awareness campaign design & execution

Profile Required
* Master's or final-year Bachelor student in Cybersecurity, IT, Network Engineering, or related field
* Strong interest in cloud, network, and infrastructure security
* Analytical mindset and structured approach
* Ability to work independently and produce technical documentation
* Scripting skills (Python, PowerShell, Bash) are a strong plus
* Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) is an asset
* Familiarity with networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, firewalls, VPN, DNS)
