The Quality Engineering Co-op Analyst will actively support the planning, design, and execution of test coverage throughout the software development lifecycle, with a strong emphasis on AI and automation. In this role, the analyst will contribute to test planning, test design, test execution, and the development of automated test scripts to help deliver high-quality, reliable, and robust software products.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

The Co-op Analyst will gain hands-on experience in modern QE practices:
* Automation Development: Assist in designing, developing, and maintaining automated test scripts using programming languages (e.g., Python, Java) and modern frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Playwright).
* Test Design & Execution: Create detailed test cases and execute both manual and automated tests, updating results in a test management tool (e.g., JIRA, HP ALM).
* Defect Management: Log, analyze, and track defects using a defect management tool (e.g., JIRA), providing clear descriptions and necessary technical details to aid in root cause analysis.
* Test Data Management: Identify and provision necessary test data for both manual and automated test execution, including exploring techniques for autonomous or synthetic test data generation.
* AI/ML Support (Introductory): Support engineers in data collection, analysis, and basic testing of AI/Machine Learning models, or assist in piloting AI-enabled testing tools (e.g., for test optimization or autonomous test generation).
* Collaboration: Participate in Agile ceremonies, defect triage meetings, and collaborate closely with QA team members, developers, product managers, and other stakeholders.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
Skills:
* Programming/Scripting (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript, or C#)
* Hands-on experience with test management, automation, and CI/CD tools (e.g., JIRA, Selenium/Playwright/Cypress, Git/GitHub, Jenkins/Azure DevOps) .
* Good understanding of API testing (REST/SOAP/GraphQL) and basic SQL/Database concepts
* Strong understanding of the software release process, different testing methodologies (Agile/DevOps, TestOps), and test automation framework design
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, high attention to detail, and clear verbal/written communication.
CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $18-32/hour. This role is an existing vacancy.
