This Position reports to:Senior Engineering Manager

As an electrical engineering intern, you will assist the test and design engineer of machine-human interfaces for mine hoist systems. You will be part of ABB Canada's Process Automation, Process Industries division and will be based in our Saint-Laurent office. The work model is in person.

Your responsabilities

* Testing of winch control and supervision systems
* Testing of SIL 3 brake control systems for winches
* Development of operator interface for hoisting systems (ABB mine hoists)
* Installation of software for operator interfaces and system maintenance computers
* Helped develop and maintain winch control and supervision systems
* Writing and updating technical documentation and operating manuals

Qualifications

* Student in electrical engineering or automated production engineering
* General programming skills
* PLC (programmable logic controller) experience an asset
* Good communication skills, able to reach out to others to ask questions
* Proactivity on the job
