Job Posting Description
Our Asia Finance team is seeking interns to support finance data, reporting process integration, and process improvement across regional and local finance activities. The role focuses on improving data readiness, reporting efficiency, and process transparency from source data through to final reporting outputs.
This internship is suitable for students who are interested in the intersection of finance, data, systems, and business process improvement. It offers hands-on exposure to financial data handling, reporting support, validation, testing, reconciliation, and documentation within a life insurance finance environment..
Position Responsibilities:
* Support finance data preparation, validation, and analysis for reporting, reconciliation, and control activities.
* Assist in organizing and reviewing source data, mapping files, and reporting datasets to improve consistency, accuracy, and usability.
* Support data extraction, query preparation, and structured analysis for finance reporting and analytics.
* Assist in identifying data issues, logic gaps, mapping breaks, and reporting inconsistencies across source data and reporting outputs.
* Support process improvement initiatives to reduce manual work and improve transparency and control in reporting workflows.
* Assist in translating data and system outputs into formats that are easier for finance users to understand and apply.
* Support testing activities for reporting and process changes, including test preparation, result validation, and issue follow-up.
* Prepare clear documentation and prepare materials to summarize data logic, process flow, findings, issues identified, and improvement recommendations.
* Work with regional finance, local finance teams, and internal stakeholders to support implementation and follow-up activities.
Required Qualifications:
* Undergraduate student in BBA, Information Systems, Accounting, Finance, Data Engineering, Business Analytics, Computer Science, Statistics, or related disciplines.
* Basic knowledge of SQL, Python, or business intelligence tools functional build for data modelling with structured data in reporting and analytics.
* Good Excel skills, including formulas, lookup functions, pivot tables, and handling structured datasets.
* Strong analytical mindset with the ability to understand data relationships, logic flow, and reporting requirements.
* Good attention to detail and ability to identify data issues, inconsistencies, and exceptions.
* Good communication skills and willingness to explain findings clearly to business users.
* Organized, responsible, and willing to learn in a finance data, systems, and reporting environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Exposure to data modelling, reconciliation, reporting processes, or process documentation would be an advantage.
