In this highly visible role, our Manufacturing Design Engineers (MDE) are responsible for the development and implementation of high precision mechanical fabrication processes in a high volume environment for Apple Mac Products.
Apple MDEs are extraordinary engineers that provide end to end manufacturing and process solutions for key design features. This includes manufacturing process development and capability (includes incorporating all aspects of equipment, consumables, key parameters, process setup, and qualification), selection and/or design of manufacturing equipment, automation, and strategic R&D. Specializing in mechanical engineering, familiar with GD&T, mechanical design & manufacturing processes Specialized in statistics and data analysis, with strong expertise in leveraging analytical skills to examine manufacturing process data for root cause analysis, process optimization and data-driven decision-making Good at communication, with the ability to deliver information clearly and effectively. Fluent in English A collaborative team player, dedicated to supporting others and fostering an environment that enables collective success
Experienced in applying statistical knowledge to real-world manufacturing scenarios, including Design of Experiments (DOE), product quality control, and process improvement A quick learner with a strong willingness to explore and acquire new knowledge, even beyond familiar areas of expertise
