Apple's Mac AME(Advanced manufacturing Engineer) Team, managing production of MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, iMac, Mac mini and many more, which possesses rich cultural heritage from Macintosh generation. As manufacturing expert for the series of art products, the team now started developing Automation at a large scale to deliver mass production at highest quality, efficiency and lowest cost. Vision as critical part of almost every Automation equipment that enables product realization, is the focusing area where we want to spend efforts on at a deeper level of standardization on design, calibration and qualification.
The role is mainly located in Shanghai, but traveling flexibility(Shenzhen) is also required. It's critical that the candidate has good knowledge of machine vision and understand how the quality of CCD picture can make a difference on subsequent image processing and judgmental accuracy (traditional image processing + machine learning model training). As there is no playbook on how the work should be done in Apple, the candidate needs to be resourceful to explore and develop resource(peers, vendors etc…) that can be leveraged to get the job done. As this is not a single task, the candidate needs to have clear logical thinking to categorize and prioritize, to adapt to encountering and deep diving into new challenges and to adjust direction in time in order to deliver.
Master degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or Automation related fields; or Bachelor degree in above domain with experience in vision related project or interned at vision company(i.e. Cognex, Keyence or other Chinese vision vendor). Possess good knowledge of machine vision and familiar with basic concepts of machine learning. Basic knowledge of industrial vision tools like Halcon, Cognex VisionPro etc… Fluent in Chinese and English communication and presentation
Completed coursework in Machine Learning, Computer Vision or related areas is preferred Exposed to tools like Jupyter Notebooks, VSCode, Pycharm or similar environments. Exposed to libraries like OpenCV, NumPy, Pandas etc… Experienced participating in hackathons, Kaggle competitions or similar challenges. Proficiency in Python or C
