Join us. **Job Description** **AECOM** is actively seeking a highly motivated **Architectural Design Intern** to join our **Philadelphia, PA** office for a summer internship. This opportunity is ideal for students currently enrolled in an accredited professional Architecture program who are interested in gaining hands-on experience within a global architectural and engineering firm. AECOM offers interns access to development resources designed to support early-career growth. Interns gain practical experience through on-the-job learning and may participate in networking opportunities, learning sessions, and exposure to AECOM's design culture and professional practices. Interns will be exposed to architectural projects across multiple markets, with a primary focus on transportation architecture, including rail and aviation facilities. Under the supervision of senior architects and project managers, the intern's responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: + Support architects and designers as part of a multi-disciplinary project team. + Assist with the preparation of schematic design graphics, presentation materials, and design studies. + Provide support in the development of architectural drawings and basic contract documentation. + Assist with 3D models, renderings, and visualizations using current software platforms. + Participate in coordination efforts with other design disciplines. + Assist with documentation related to materials, finishes, and design intent. + Support field observations and construction administration activities, as appropriate. + Perform assignments under close supervision with clearly defined tasks. + Opportunity for limited travel, depending on project needs. **Qualifications** **Minimum Requirements** + Candidates must be pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Architecture from an accredited professional architecture program or related field and must have completed at least 1 year of study. Candidates who have recently graduated with a Bachelor's degree and plan to continue with the Master's degree are eligible to apply for these positions. Recent graduates must have been enrolled in their bachelor's degree in the most previous school term with an interest in pursuing an advanced degree in the same or similar discipline at the conclusion of the internship. **Preferred Qualifications:** + Strong interest in architectural design and the built environment. + Basic proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD. + Familiarity with design and visualization tools such as SketchUp, Rhino, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar software. + Strong graphic and design aptitude. + Good verbal and written communication skills. + Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. + Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks. **Additional Information** **Additional Information:** + Relocation assistance is not available for this position. + Sponsorship for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position. Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location.
