The Motorsports Intern - GT3 Operations role provides a hands-on opportunity for a college-level student to support the operational execution and continuous improvement of Pratt Miller's GT3 Customer Sports Program (CSP). This position offers exposure to professional motorsports operations, including race support, product development coordination, and business process optimization. The intern will work cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and commercial teams to ensure alignment across systems, tools, and program objectives while contributing to high-performance outcomes in a fast-paced racing environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND SKILLS:

Typical responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
GT3 Program Operations Support
* Assist in the day-to-day operational execution of the GT3 CSP program.
* Maintain and update program systems and tools, including customer-facing resources such as websites and vehicle manuals.
* Support coordination of GT3 race car development activities across subsystems.
* Participate in technical and operational meetings to ensure alignment of part development and program deliverables.
Process Development and Continuous Improvement
* Develop and refine processes and data flows supporting GT3 parts sales and operational value streams.
* Assist in the implementation and development of ERP systems supporting GT3 sales and operations.
* Identify inefficiencies in workflows and propose practical, scalable solutions to improve operational performance.
* Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for key program activities.
Program Coordination and Tracking
* Support change management activities, including documentation and cost tracking.
* Provide updates on assigned tasks and ensure timely delivery of responsibilities.
* Assist with balancing multiple concurrent tasks and mini-projects, prioritizing based on program needs.
Race and Shop Support
* Provide backup support for shop activities and operational decision-making during race events as needed.
* Collaborate with internal teams to ensure readiness and execution of race support functions.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

In addition to the responsibilities mentioned above, tasks relating to the following area will be assigned as required.

* Demonstrates strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
* Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact across technical and non-technical teams.
* Self-motivated and capable of working independently once objectives are defined.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
* Strong work ethic with a drive to perform at a high level.
* Interest in customer-facing interactions and professional representation of the program.
* Passion for motorsports and a desire to learn within a professional racing environment.

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION/YEARS OF EXPERIENCE:
* Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Business, or a related field with a technical focus.
* Participation in Formula SAE, Baja SAE, or similar hands-on engineering or motorsports programs is preferred.

DESIRED SPECIALIZED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
* Basic understanding of professional motorsports operations and vehicle systems.
* Exposure to process development, data management, or business systems (ERP experience is a plus).
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
* Ability to interpret technical information and communicate it clearly.
* Experience managing deliverables, timelines, or project updates in an academic or team setting.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
* Ability to work in both office and shop environments.
* May require standing for extended periods and occasional lifting of lightweight materials.
* Ability to support hands-on activities in a motorsports workshop setting as needed.

Pay Range: $18.00 - $37.00

The above pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target pay for the position across all U.S. locations. Within this range, individual pay is determined by various factors, including the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate's experience, education and skills, as well as the equity of pay among team members in similar positions.
