Description du poste:
We are looking for detail-oriented, organized, and responsible individuals who are eager to learn how to apply their causal inference skillsets to solve real world problems. The intern will work in the area of marketing measurement and optimzation and develop models to personalize creative assignments on Amazon's shipping labels at scale. Amazon's Label Canvas program places marketing creatives on shipping labels to drive incremental customer engagement across over a billion packages delivered annually. The WIMSI Science team is developing advanced causal estimation methods to understand how different creatives impact individual customers, laying the groundwork to evolve the program from static experimentation to a dynamic system that continuously learns and optimizes creative assignments.
We are hiring an Economist Intern on the team to help advance our creative personalization capabilities, enabling the Label Canvas program to move from static experimentation to data-driven optimization. As an Economist on the team, you will partner with economists and scientists to drive the design, implementation, and validation of causal estimation methods for heterogeneous treatment effects. You will communicate your results with science and business leaders, and partner with other scientists and engineers to carry solutions towards production.
Our PhD Economist Internship Program offers hands-on experience in applied economics, supported by mentorship, structured feedback, and professional development. Interns work on real business and research problems, building skills that prepare them for full-time economist roles at Amazon and beyond. You will learn how to build data sets and perform applied econometric analysis collaborating with economists, scientists, and product managers. These skills will translate well into writing applied chapters in your dissertation and provide you with work experience that may help you with placement.
These are full-time positions at 40 hours per week, with compensation being awarded on an hourly basis
