The Team
You will join the Tax Technology team, a collaborative group focused on building internal applications, automating processes, integrating databases, and visualizing information that supports fiscal and financial operations. The team emphasizes practical, enterprise-grade solutions and continuous learning in modern software development.

Position Description
Intern-level role supporting software development tasks across internal apps, automation, and data integrations. You will work on web services, dashboards, and data workflows using Python and SQL, with opportunities to contribute to enterprise systems, learn cloud and DevOps basics, and grow into full-stack responsibilities

How you will contribute
* Develop and maintain internal applications (e.g., Streamlit dashboards) and basic web services (Flask or FastAPI).
* Automate processes and handle files (CSV, Excel, JSON, PDF, ZIP) using Python.
* Build and optimize SQL queries, joins, subqueries, CTEs; contribute to views and stored procedures.
* Support scheduling and execution of SQL Server Agent jobs and work with multi-database models.
* Collaborate with the team to translate business requirements into practical, scalable solutions.

Qualifications
* Education (fields): Computer Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Mathematical Engineering (ESFM - IPN), Applied Mathematics, Data Science, or related fields in software development.
* Experience: Formal experience not required; valued via academic/personal projects, web apps/dashboards/automations, social service or professional practices.
* Technical skills (required):
* SQL (emphasis): complex SELECTs, joins, subqueries, CTEs, views, stored procedures (basic maintenance), SQL Server Agent, multi-database models.
* App development: Streamlit; Flask or FastAPI for basic APIs.
* Python: reusable scripts/modules, file handling, REST API consumption, process automation.
* Preferred skills (plus): Django, Power BI (basic modeling/visualization), Git (version control), Docker (basic), Azure (VMs, Storage, basic services).
* Soft skills: Logical, structured thinking; attention to detail; execution and follow-up; interest in building real enterprise systems.
* Language: Basic-intermediate English.
