Purchasing Trainee - Valeo Sistemas Electricos SA de CV

Valeo Sistemas Electricos SA de CV is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Purchasing Trainee to join our dynamic team. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in procurement processes, supplier management, and strategic sourcing within a leading automotive supplier.

Job Responsibilities

* Assist the purchasing team with daily operational tasks, including processing purchase requisitions and orders.
* Support in identifying potential suppliers, evaluating quotes, and negotiating terms and conditions.
* Maintain accurate purchasing records, supplier information, and procurement documentation.
* Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., production, engineering, quality) to understand material requirements and ensure timely delivery.
* Participate in supplier performance evaluations and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
* Learn and apply company purchasing policies, procedures, and ethical guidelines.
* Conduct market research to identify new suppliers, products, and cost-saving opportunities.
* Prepare reports and presentations on purchasing activities and supplier performance.

Job Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment.
* Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and take initiative.
* Fluent in Spanish and English (written and spoken) is highly desirable.
* Prior internship experience in purchasing or supply chain is a plus, but not required.
