Job Title: Management Trainee

Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Management Trainee to join our buy-side credit research team. The candidate will support portfolio monitoring and surveillance tasks like financial models and earnings update. This is an excellent opportunity for a talented individual to launch their career in financial modelling and credit research, with a strong focus on professional development and growth. The successful candidate should have strong conceptual understanding of accounting and financial statements.
Key roles and responsibilities
* Support senior analysts on key portfolio monitoring tasks
* Proficient with financial statement analysis and understanding financial modelling linkages
* Monitor financial ratios and key performance indicators for assigned companies
* Gathering business and financial data on assigned portfolio on a regular basis
* Draft earnings write-ups on timely basis
* Research support on ad-hoc tasks like peer comparison/collate industry data sets
* News and information search support for existing and potential investments
Requirements:
* Strong academic background
* Conceptual understanding of financial statements, financial modeling, and data analysis
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
* Proficiency in MS Office with good Excel skills
* Strong verbal communication and writing skills
* Ability to work independently and collaborate in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Minimum & Preferred Education
* MBA (Finance) from reputed institute / CA / CFA is essential
* Progress towards CFA (US) would be preferred
