As a Sales Finance Graduate for the South African commercial and sales teams you will be providing financial analysis, insights, and decision support to drive profitable growth. The role focuses on sales performance, pricing, promotions, trade spend, customer profitability and customer account health in a fast-paced FMCH environment.
What will your individual contribution at Haleon be?
1. Sales & performance analysis
* Analyse daily, weekly, and monthly sales performance versus budget, forecast, and prior year.
* Prepare sales and margin reports by customer, channel, and product.
* Investigate and explain variances in volume, price, mix, and margin.
* Support preparation of commercial performance packs for management reviews.
2. Pricing, promotions & deal support
* Support evaluation of pricing changes, discounts, and promotional mechanics.
* Build and maintain deal and promotion profitability models.
* Track promotional performance versus forecasts and budgets.
* Assist in monitoring trade spend and ensuring spend is within approved limits.
* Highlight risks and margin leakage in proposed commercial deals.
3. Customer & channel profitability
* Analyse customer and channel profitability.
* Support decision-making around customer terms, rebates, and discounts.
* Assist in identifying underperforming or unprofitable customers or products.
4. Forecasting & budgeting
* Support monthly sales forecasting processes.
* Work closely with sales teams to understand pipeline assumptions.
* Assist with annual budgeting and periodic re-forecasts.
* Perform scenario and sensitivity analysis where required.
5. Month-end & reporting
* Assist with month-end close activities related to sales and revenue.
* Reconcile sales, rebates, discounts, and trade spend.
* Support variance analysis and reporting to senior stakeholders.
6. Business partnering & stakeholder engagement
* Work closely with sales, marketing, and supply chain teams.
* Translate financial information into clear commercial insights.
* Support ad-hoc commercial analysis and decision support requests.
* Develop strong working relationships with key internal stakeholders.
7. Overall customer account health
* Support account managers in consolidating supporting documentation to support in the validation of claims.
* Highlight any risks on customer accounts.
8. Learning and Development
* Stay updated on industry trends, financial regulations, and best practices.
* Actively participate in training programs and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
* Seek mentorship and develop technical and soft skills required for business partnering.
9. Sales Finance Graduate Program

* Proven experience supporting sales and marketing teams, with an understanding of channel dynamics (e.g., pharmacy, retail, online).
* Strong Excel skills.

To enable you to perform in this future talent opportunity:
Education required:
* Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or similar.
* 0 - 2 years' experience.
