Actuarial Analyst - CTP

Looking to kick-start or grow your actuarial career?
We're looking for two Actuarial Analysts to join our CTP team on a permanent full-time basis. One role will support our NSW CTP portfolio and the other our QLD CTP portfolio.
Based in Brisbane or Sydney, these roles offer a hybrid working model with 50% office attendance and the opportunity to work alongside experienced actuaries on reserving, pricing, portfolio performance and commercial decision-making.
Whether you're a recent graduate or have up to two years' experience, you'll be supported to build your technical skills while gaining exposure to meaningful work that helps shape the future of our business.
What you'll be doing
Whether you're a recent graduate with some practical experience or have up to two years' experience in an analytical or actuarial environment, this is a great opportunity to grow your career alongside experienced actuaries in a collaborative and supportive team.
As an Actuarial Analyst, you'll be involved in a wide variety of work, including:
* Supporting six-monthly actuarial valuations and regulatory reporting.
* Monitoring claims experience and analysing portfolio performance.
* Providing insights to support pricing, profitability and strategic decision making.
* Developing and improving actuarial models, reporting and analytical tools.
* Investigating trends, answering ad hoc business questions and identifying opportunities for improvement.
* Presenting insights to managers and stakeholders in a clear and meaningful way.
* Working closely with teams across Finance, Claims, Underwriting and the wider business.

What you'll bring
We're looking for someone who's curious, analytical and enjoys solving problems.
You'll also have:
* A degree in Actuarial Studies, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Engineering, Finance or a related quantitative discipline.
* Internship experience, relevant work experience or up to two years' experience in an actuarial or analytical role.
* Experience using Excel and ideally exposure to SQL, SAS or similar analytical tools.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* The confidence to communicate technical information in a simple, engaging way.
* A genuine willingness to learn, take on feedback and continuously improve.
* Progress towards Institute of Actuaries Australia qualification will be highly regarded.
