We have an immediate need for a Group Leader to join our CNC Turning Team. In this role, you will play a key part in assisting with the distribution of work assignments and monitor all aspects of CNC turning. The Group Leader works closely with the Supervisor in problem solving and support with a strong focus on Raytheon ELCAN People System (CORE) metrics, Trust, Respect, Accountability, Collaboration, Innovation, Safety, CPI (Cost Performance Index) and OTD (On-Time Delivery) Identifying Priorities, Aligning Goals, Enabling environment in the Area's, Developing Capabilities. Shift work required.

What You Will Do:
* Promoting and maintaining team harmony and morale and commitment towards a positive workplace culture
* Responsibility for the safety, quality, schedule and cost in an AS9100 factory environment independent of upper management support
* Schedule production of machined components to meet stated goals for capacity utilization, on time delivery, and cost
* Communicate effectively and collaboratively with support functions including; Maintenance, Quality, Design, Production Scheduling, and Manufacturing Engineering
* Implement and maintain systems and procedures to support team training and coach team members to reduce and improve costs & quality of the processes
* Performing direct labour tasks such as Machine set up and operation
* Work collaboratively with Maintenance and Engineering to resolve and reduce down time and quality issues.
* Understanding of Business Management System process and all related production escalation procedures with Tier 2 reporting
* Verifiable experience in monitoring and responding to team metrics, resulting in a path of continual improvement
* Provide support to Team Members in all other areas of the Machine Shop if Supervisors are unavailable
* Leadership ability and philosophy focused on core professional values of respect, trust, and team collaboration that can be demonstrated by multiple practical examples

Qualifications You Must Have:
* Completion of Post-Secondary in CNC machining, Certificate of Apprenticeship and Certificate of Qualification or 7-10 year minimum work experience equivalent
* Practical application experience in CORE Operating System
* Understanding of mechanics practices, processes and equipment, mechanical drawings and work instructions
* Machine & metrology knowledge of Mitutoyo CMM's, Starrett HDV, Shadowgraphs an asset
* Moderate computer experience in MS Word, Excel, and Powerpoint
* Acquiring and retaining knowledge/understanding through study, instruction or experience

Qualifications We Prefer:
* Experience with Infor-LN, Product Center, Outlook, Excel and Word
* Experience in reading, understanding, and using drawings, work instructions, and written policies to guide work efforts
* Demonstrated ability to be organized, self-motivated, dependable, and work well with others in a multi-disciplinary environment
* Experience driving continuous improvement and implementing efficiencies.

The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
