Meet the Team

Join the Cisco Silicon One team and help shape the future of high-performance networking silicon. Our organization combines a startup-like culture with the scale and stability of Cisco, enabling deep technical ownership and cross-disciplinary collaboration.
The Silicon One design center brings together architecture, design, verification, test, manufacturing, and software teams to deliver a unified, programmable silicon architecture powering Cisco's next-generation routing platforms. Our focus is on building scalable, power-efficient, and highly reliable SoCs for service provider and web-scale markets.

Your Impact

As a Principal Engineer specializing in Design for Test, Yield Analysis, and Silicon Diagnosis, you will provide deep technical leadership across the full silicon lifecycle, with a strong emphasis on quality, yield, and manufacturability of advanced SoCs.

You will:

* Define and influence DFT architectures, strategies, and methodologies for complex SoCs, ensuring robust testability and diagnosability.
* Provide technical leadership and influence in post-silicon debug, diagnosis, and yield analysis throughout the entire production lifecycle, from first silicon bring-up through high-volume manufacturing.
* Drive advanced yield-learning and diagnostic flows, including scan diagnosis, cell-aware and physical-aware methodologies, and volume diagnostics.
* Perform in-depth statistical and correlation analysis across multi-domain data sets (design, test, ATE, manufacturing, and lab data) to identify systematic issues and root causes.
* Collaborate closely with DFT, design, validation, product engineering, reliability, and manufacturing teams, acting as a trusted technical authority.
* Influence improvements in ATPG quality, scan compression efficiency, diagnosis accuracy, and test coverage, leveraging both internal solutions and EDA tool capabilities.
* Partner with EDA vendors to influence tool roadmaps and optimize debug and diagnosis flows for advanced technology nodes.
* Mentor and guide engineers, promoting best practices and strengthening technical expertise across teams.
* Contribute to technical reviews, methodology definition, and knowledge sharing, including internal trainings and external technical forums.

Minimum Qualifications

* B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
* Extensive hands-on experience in DFT, silicon debug, and diagnosis for complex SoCs.
* Proven experience across the full silicon lifecycle, from pre-silicon DFT definition to post-silicon debug and production support.
* Strong expertise in scan insertion, ATPG, and diagnostic methodologies.
* Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret large, complex data sets for yield and reliability improvement.

Preferred Qualifications

* Deep expertise in yield analysis, statistical methods, and volume diagnostics in high-volume manufacturing environments.
* Experience with cell-aware, physical-aware, and advanced diagnosis techniques.
* Proficiency with leading DFT, ATPG, and diagnosis tools.
* Strong background in cross-functional and multi-site collaboration.
* Ability to define, standardize, and scale methodologies across multiple products and technology nodes.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills, including experience with technical training or conference presentations.
* Experience with networking, automotive, or high-reliability silicon products is a plus.
