Descrizione del lavoro:

Join Schneider Electric and contribute to the performance and reliability of tomorrow's microgrids
The energy world is rapidly evolving toward decentralized models, with microgrids at the heart of this transformation. Schneider Electric is a global leader in microgrid technologies through the EcoStruxure™ platform, offering complete architectures that integrate Energy Management Systems (EMS), Power Management Systems (PMS), and advanced control solutions.

Our solutions notably include:
* EcoStruxure Microgrid Advisor (EMA): a cloud-based, AI-driven EMS optimizing energy usage and operational costs.
* EcoStruxure Microgrid Operation (EMO): an edge-based PMS providing real-time automation and control on PLC/IPC platforms.
To ensure the level of quality, robustness, and reliability expected by our customers, we are strengthening our microgrid testing capabilities within the Microgrid Lab in Grenoble.

Your role

As a Microgrid Systems Test Engineer, you will validate end-to-end real-life microgrid scenarios covering EMS, PMS, DERs (batteries, photovoltaic systems, generators), and grid interfaces. You will work in a state-of-the-art laboratory environment to test control algorithms, system behaviors, and customer use cases, delivering safe, robust, and high-quality solutions.
This position sits at the intersection of electrical systems, automation, software, and cloud technologies.

Your responsibilities

System testing & microgrid scenarios
* Test and validate customer microgrid scenarios for Schneider Electric microgrid solutions on EMA (EMS) and EMO (PMS) platforms.
* Perform functional, performance, interoperability, and non-regression testing.
* Analyze, reproduce, and qualify system behaviors in collaboration with global R&D teams.
Test planning & automation
* Define test plans and test cases based on product requirements.
* Automate test scenarios using the Microgrid Lab (PLC/IPC, HIL, DER simulators).
* Maintain and continuously improve automated test scripts and frameworks.
Microgrid Lab operations
* Configure and operate test benches including PLCs, inverters, BESS simulators, protections, SCADA/HMI systems, and communication networks.
* Participate in technical demonstrations, customer visits, and internal workshops.
Project & partner support
* Train and support Schneider Electric partners delivering Configure-To-Order (CTO) microgrid solutions.
* Contribute to pilot projects, commissioning support activities, and advanced diagnostics when required.
Cross-functional collaboration
* Global R&D teams
* Execution and commissioning teams
* Pre-sales and solution architecture teams
* Strategic technology partners
Your Profile
* Master's degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Automation, Industrial Computing, Energy Systems, or a related field.

Your Skills

Technical Skills
* Experience in industrial automation (Schneider Electric PLCs / IPCs or equivalent).
* Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis capabilities.
* Knowledge of communication protocols: Modbus, IEC 61850, MQTT, HTTPS (DNP3 is a plus).
* Experience with three-phase electrical systems and/or on-site commissioning.
* Understanding of microgrid architectures (BESS, PV, generators, islanding, grid-forming vs grid-following).
* Experience with real-time simulators such as SpeedGoat or OPAL-RT.
* Scripting or object-oriented programming skills (Python is a strong plus).
Test & Lab Skills
* Interest in and exposure to test automation.
* Experience testing three-phase electrical installations.
* Use of diagnostic tools (e.g. Modbus Poll, Wireshark).
* Familiarity with Agile practices.
Soft Skills
* Strong teamwork and communication skills.
* Ability to clearly explain technical topics to partners or non-experts.
* Organized, analytical, and detail-oriented approach.
We know that skills can show up in many ways and may be based on your life experience. If you do not necessarily meet every single requirement listed, we still encourage you to apply.

We Offer
* A key role at the heart of Schneider Electric's microgrid solutions
* A unique test environment combining real systems and real-time simulation
* Close collaboration with international R&D teams
* Opportunities for technical development and career growth
* Life is On: join us and grow your impact.
