Services Strategy Leader, EM S&S Global Division
The Services Strategy Leader establishes and defines high-impact, short- and long-term multi-year business strategies within One Services. The leader will partner with executive management to identify operational efficiencies and new business opportunities, related to market development, investment prioritization, M&A and strategic partnerships. The leader will provide direction to corporate, country and regional management regarding the execution of business strategies and will work with the executive team to develop short to long term business plans and forecasting models. This leader will prepare global / regional / country implementation strategies including execution plans, investment requirements, resource allocations and process accountabilities. This leader will also track internal and external benchmarks (financial, sales and market data) to evaluate actual performance and make recommendations to business leaders on targeted achievement. This role will report to the VP Strategy for Services within the EM Software & Services global division.
Responsibilities
* Formulates EM S&S One Services' strategy and strategic plan together with global business leaders to ensure strategic growth and profitability
* Accountable for development and implementation of long-term and short-term strategic plans
* Translates strategic ambitions to actions with detailed, multi-year strategic plan that help One Services' business achieve targeted business goals
* Leads and facilitates change management plans to align with strategic ambitions
* Drives transformation programs in the Services division by working with related teams including LoB, commercial, supply chain, execution, etc.
* Supports and manages the business division Corporate Strategy deliverables & Strategic Cycles, including business division strategic planning and reporting process, facilitating BU management in execution of various strategic initiatives; implementing BU transformation program; evaluating any new business portfolio for investment or divestment
* Partners with Portfolio management to drive implementation of strategic plans
* Supports BU's corporate development activities e.g. Ventures, M&A and partnership to understand the new market landscape, screen potential partners or targets, review profiles and facilitate business division management's decision-making on the strategic intent, fit, and attractiveness of possible activities and build business plans
* Develops data-driven analyses to optimize planning and translate into financial value. Prepares reporting and trend analysis for presentation to executive leadership
* Works with Division, Offer, Commercial, Execution, Operations, Segment teams and other business partners to guide operational responsiveness to challenges, and alignment with business imperatives
* Contributes to synthesis of market/competitive intelligence and market trends to identify new areas of growth, new trends in the market and evolving customer needs
* Develops executive-level presentation and communication in a high professional standard for global leaders for internal and external events and activities
* Influences C-level executives on a wide range of business issues, including risk management and implementation tactics
* Builds relationships and provides guidance to business stakeholders
Requirements
* Bachelor or above degree in Business, Strategy or Services; MBA or advanced university degree highly desired
* Intensive experience gained in Corporate strategy, Management Consulting or Strategic Marketing roles in a global Services business
* Experience creating a long-term strategic plan for global, complex Service organizations that serve one or more industries
* Extensive knowledge of Recurring Services, Digital Services, Managed Services, Professional Services, AI-enabled and AI-native, XaaS; electrical distribution and sustainability will be a plus
* Intense experience working to develop and implement a Services growth or transformation strategy with direct involvement in creation, deployment and results
* Extensive experience in Strategic Planning for Services that translates business unit goals into actionable plans and strategies that reflect the requirements and opportunities
* Ability to balance long-term strategic planning with near-term strategy implementation
* Result-oriented, high energy, hands-on talent who functions well in a highly productive result-oriented team
* Able to lead effectively in a complex and political environment, and deliver results; able to influence without direct authority; able to balance between competing priorities and be flexible and creative; able to drive performance
* Demonstrated exceptional expertise in hypotheses and strategy formulation, conducting primary and secondary research, driving executive meetings, industry sector research report compilation/writing, and PowerPoint-based presentation
* Executive level presentation skills. Highly developed negotiation and influencing skills.
* Fluent in English
