Descrizione del lavoro:

MISSION
Belonging to the Operations Engineering team the Structures and Mechanical Principal Engineer will be responsible for leading the strategy, implementation and execution of structural and mechanical maintenance for offshore wind assets within the Continental Europe Offshore O&M Hub, ensuring safe, reliable and efficient operation throughout asset lifetime.

Define and deploy best-in-class practices to maximize availability and production, safeguarding structural integrity and extending asset life where feasible.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND FUNCTIONS
* Define the maintenance strategy for the structural elements (seabed foundations, jackets/monopiles, and transition pieces as key components) of the offshore assets in Continental Europe to ensure maximum availability, reliability, and efficiency of the fleet following industry best practices. These are critical elements whose structural integrity has a decisive impact on the asset's lifetime and potential life extension.
* Define the maintenance strategy for the mechanical elements (cranes and lifting equipment, HVAC systems, and fire protection systems mainly) of the offshore assets in Continental Europe to ensure maximum availability, reliability, and efficiency of the fleet following industry best practices.
* Ensure compliance with applicable legislation and regulatory requirements in the countries where the offshore wind farms are located. This is particularly relevant for support structures, which receive significant attention from the competent supervisory or regulatory authorities.
* Manage the execution and supervision of all preventive and corrective maintenance activities performed by the OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer), other contractors, or in-house personnel on the structural elements and mechanical equipment, ensuring asset availability is maintained or restored, the quality of the work is adequate, and all contractual conditions are fulfilled.
* Ensure the preparation of the required technical reports, with the appropriate quality and within the established deadlines, serving as the basis for obtaining the annual operational compliance certification from the competent regulator in applicable countries.
* Lead the procurement processes for the services and supplies required to implement the established strategy, ensuring the selection of technically qualified and competent suppliers.
* Be responsible for the technical management of existing maintenance contracts, effectively contributing to maximizing business performance by ensuring compliance with delivery time and quality while minimizing the operational cost of offshore sites.
* Ensure the identification and communication of technical defects in structural elements and mechanical equipment that are claimable to the OEM within the contractual deadlines and actively collaborate with the commercial contract manager during the claims process.
* Ensure the identification of business risks derived from the condition of structural elements and mechanical equipment and manage these risks by defining the necessary actions to eliminate or mitigate them as far as reasonably possible.
* Ensure that incidents, failures, and breakdowns are analysed to determine their root causes and that the necessary design modifications and corrective actions are defined and implemented to prevent recurrence.
* Ensure the identification and definition of required design modifications, as well as evaluate and, where applicable, approve those proposed by the OEM, ensuring follow-up after implementation to confirm the achievement of the intended effect.
* Ensure coordination with operational offshore sites to guarantee that the deployment of necessary maintenance actions is carried out successfully, on time, with the required quality, and in compliance with all safety requirements.
* Define and develop the procedures required to ensure the proper execution of maintenance activities, share lessons learned across the business, and ensure the implementation of best practices identified within Offshore.
* For offshore projects in the development and construction phase, define, together with the project teams, the best solutions to ensure efficient operability and maintainability once the assets enter commercial operation.
* Ensure the coordination of maintenance strategies with the other Offshore O&M Hubs (UK and USA) to promote a uniform and global deployment of solutions, best practices, and lessons learned.
* Manage the team under your responsibility, promoting their professional development, identifying training needs, and establishing the necessary actions to meet them appropriately.
* Ensure coordination, within your area of responsibility, of interactions with Global Technical Services, Offshore Sites, OEMs, certifiers, and regulators, ensuring effective and technically robust relationships. Particularly relevant is the management of the relationship with the appointed Certifier to properly meet all required regulatory obligations, as maintaining the certificate of conformity is essential for ongoing operational activity.
