Quality Engineer - Machine Learning

Apple's Creative Music Apps team in Rellingen (Germany) is seeking a talented software quality assurance engineer for our DSP & Machine Learning QA team.
You will evaluate existing and new products on macOS, iOS & iPadOS, create comprehensive test plans, and work closely with our engineering team to ensure that Apple's products maintain a high level of quality and excellent performance. You should be passionate about music creation and audio recording and should display a relentless and methodical dedication to software quality. The ideal candidate will be a top-notch communicator and team player. This role involves a continuous commitment to quality assurance, encompassing the maintenance and expansion of our essential test tools. Thorough testing of new features alongside comprehensive regression testing to safeguard existing functionality in our ML-based technologies.
Knowledge and experience with the quality assurance process. Solid understanding of digital signal processing fundamentals. Experience with audio recording and handling of Digital Audio Workstations. Attention to detail and an unwillingness to settle for a product that is just "good enough".
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience. Passionate about building customer-facing features and testing ML tools and infrastructure. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent scripting skills and experience in troubleshooting complex structures. Experience in developing test strategies and executing them with test automation. Experience with audio analysis tools and libraries. Understanding of core ML concepts. Knowledge of music theory and recording technology
