Engineer I, AI/ML (CDAC)

Edwards Lifesciences is expanding its global technology capabilities with the launch of a new IT Innovation Hub in Pune, India. The Hub strengthens the technology foundation that supports our business worldwide, working in close partnership with teams across regions to deliver reliable, high-quality solutions at scale. Designed as a long-term investment, the Pune Hub will advance newer digital capabilities such as automation, data, AI, and cloud, and will include roles spanning end user services, application development, and enterprise platform teams. Together, these teams will help Edwards operate more efficiently and accelerate innovation in support of our mission of advancing patient care.

How you'll make an impact:
* Support the development, testing, and deployment of AI/ML models for prototyping and early production use under guidance of senior engineers.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams (data scientists, software engineers, product managers) to understand requirements and contribute to AI/ML solutions using established frameworks and tools.
* Participate in agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, code reviews, and demoing features or prototypes as needed.
* Follow existing tools, coding standards, and architectural best practices to ensure software quality, maintainability, and scalability.
* Assist in monitoring, operating, and providing technical support for AI/ML solutions deployed into development or production environments.
* Contribute to research, experimentation, and evaluation of new AI/ML techniques, tools, and frameworks under supervision.
* Ensure code, models, and experiments are well-documented and adhere to established engineering and documentation standards.

What you'll need (Required):
* Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.,

What else we look for (Preferred):
* Proficiency in Python or another programming language used in AI/ML development.
* Experience with machine learning libraries and frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, Keras, etc.).
* Academic or project-based experience with machine learning concepts, statistics, and data analysis.
* Familiarity with machine learning workflows, including data preparation, model training, and evaluation.
* Exposure to cloud infrastructure or deployment concepts through coursework, labs, or internships.
* Understanding of Git and agile development practices.
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
* Good written and verbal communication skills.
* Attention to detail and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.
* Adhere to all company rules and requirements (e.g., pandemic protocols, Environmental Health & Safety rules) and take adequate control measures in preventing injuries to themselves and others as well as to the protection of environment and prevention of pollution under their span of influence/control
