The Production Scientist for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is based in our Co. Clare facility and will be a part of the Formulations group and report to the Formulations Supervisor.

Hours are:

Days

*

Monday to Thursday: 08:00-16:00

*

Friday: 08:00-15:00

Evenings

*

Monday to Thursday: 16:00-00:00

*

Friday: 15:00-22:00

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

*

Manufacture CSCA ,Clinical Chemistry & Immunology Reagents

*

In process analyzer testing of Immunology Products

*

Failure Investigation where required on non-conforming product/OOS

*

Prepare and maintain Production Procedures to comply with current practices and required Quality Standards.

*

Calibration and maintenance of Production equipment.

*

Tank cleaning and use and maintenance of CIP system

*

Upkeep of neat and accurate written records as per relevant Formulation procedures.

*

Compliance with set Housekeeping / Safety / Environmental standards and regulations within the department.

*

Ability to communicate well both within and outside the department with peers and colleagues

*

Self-starter with ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team, requires moderate supervision

*

Intensive knowledge of GMP and safety practices.

*

Can deliver basic presentations

The essential requirements of the job include:

*

Bachelors Degree with 0-2 years' experience in a Laboratory
environment with good working knowledge of laboratory techniques.

*

Familiarity with basic laboratory equipment such as analytical balance, pH meter, pipettes, fume hoods, spectrophotometers, etc.

*

Knowledge of in process test equipment.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

*

Previous industrial formulating/compounding experience is preferable.
