Job Description:
The Statutory Accounting Analyst has responsibility for the preparation of local statutory financials, the filing of local statutory accounts, and support of any required statutory audits for each Mars legal entity within the LATAM region.
This role will support the function by providing the transparency necessary for effective decision making and sign-off on statutory filings and audits.
This role will proactively support digital efficiency efforts for the Statutory function.The Statutory Accounting Analyst will also take on ad-hoc project and/or functional support as needed.

What are we looking for?
* University degree/ Bachelor's degree in Accounting is a plus
* 3 to 5 years in Accounting in a FMCG/MNC environment.

What will be your key responsibilities?

Statutory Accounting.
* Ensure ERP or other accounting data capture management tools have the setup and functionality to be compliant to local statutory accounting requirements.
* Identify and accurately map / account for any adjustments to USGAAP necessary to comply with IAS and/or local statutory accounting requirements across this role's scope of entities within the LATAM region.
* Preparation of statutory financial statements, trial balance and reporting package across all entities supported including
* Prepare data extract (Data download from ERP's)
* Data review
* Analysis
* YE adjustments
* Disclosure notes
* Propose changes to local statutory accounting process for efficiency and standardization
* Execute approved changes to local statutory accounting process.

Statutory External Audit
Support LATAM Statutory COE Lead in the following areas:
* Ensure understanding of audit plan
* Report costs against audit budget
* Manage local statutory audits with timeliness and efficiency
* Provide full support for auditors on both interim and final audits including coordination of information
* Evidence collection
* Work with MGS / Controllers team as appropriate
