The Securities & Derivatives Analyst is an intermediate level position responsible for processing orders and transactions originating from trading desks and branch offices in coordination with the Operations - Transaction Services team.
Responsibilities:
* Process securities transactions, provide analytic input for traders and aid in review of derivative products
* Identify and resolve securities and derivative settlement issues, and make process improvement recommendations to leadership
* Analyze moderately complex reports to satisfy management requirements, aid in control activities, and contribute to the launch of product services
* Monitor and suggest solutions to errors to minimize risk to the bank, through an intermediate knowledge of procedural requirements
* Escalate transaction processing issues to the appropriate department and collaborate on a solution
* Design and analyze moderately complex reports, in coordination with standards set by direct leadership
* Assist with control activities, and the launch of new products and services
* Ensure processes adhere to audit and control policies
Qualifications:
* 0-2 years of relevant experience
Education:
* Bachelor's Degree/University degree or equivalent experience in Business, Accounting, or Finance

Job Description

The Agency and Trust Operational Officer LATAM Hub is seeking a dynamic and proactive Multifunctional Operations Specialist to join its team. This critical role involves managing contractual obligations for over 900 diverse, tailor-made client contracts across Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Mexico, Panama, Peru, and Puerto Rico. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of the regulatory landscape across these Latin American countries and proactively stay abreast of changes.
Given the complex and dynamic nature of the business, a steep learning curve and strong learning agility are essential. This position demands exceptional flexibility and a willingness to adapt to diverse responsibilities, contributing across all operational phases and functions based on evolving business needs and team priorities. The ability to work collaboratively is crucial for accurate and efficient daily process execution, minimizing errors and losses, and ensuring operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
This role demands exceptional adaptability, requiring the Multifunctional Operations Specialist to seamlessly transition between diverse operational activities based on evolving business demands and team priorities. Key responsibilities include:
* Review and input operational activities into the business platform, ensuring strict adherence to checklists.
* Review and record evidence of completed tasks within the system or Sharedrive.
* Monitor and execute daily activities in accordance with client contractual obligations, leveraging the core system as a tickler.
* Review commission collection letters for clients, ensuring compliance with Agency & Trust (A&T) contract terms and frequency.
* Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the funds disbursement workflow for the Issuer Services Business.
* Review client instructions to ensure alignment with contract terms.
* Maintain daily control logs to confirm the execution of all received instructions.
* Oversee and process operational deal termination activities for Agency & Trust.
* Provide backup support for colleagues and assist with other assigned activities as needed.

Qualifications
Education:
* Bachelor's Degree required, specialization in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, or Accounting.

Experience:
* Minimum of 3 years of experience in the financial services industry is required.
* Prior experience in Agency and Trust (A&T) business, specifically with Fiduciary Products, within a financial institution is highly preferred.

Language Skills:
* Fluency in Spanish is required.
* Proficiency in English is required.

Work Availability: Flexibility to work on holidays and across varying time zones to effectively service Latin American clients. Must be available to work in the office as required by the supervisor.

Technical Skills: Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Familiarity with Artificial Intelligence concepts and applications. Capability to use multiple systems simultaneously; ability to absorb modules and commands for day-to-day operations.

Note: This role is situated within the Issuer Services Operational Area, primarily focused on the meticulous execution and oversight of operational activities for a critical client portfolio.
