Descrizione del lavoro:

The Invoice to Cash Specialist is a strategic guardian of the company's liquidity, responsible for the end-to-end efficiency of the Invoice-to-Cash (ITC) cycle. This role is designed for a results-oriented finance professional who excels at the intersection of rigorous financial control and high-level stakeholder management. The primary objective is to optimize Cash Flow by ensuring the seamless conversion of receivables into cash while maintaining exceptional professional relationships.
1. Communication and Interpersonal Competencies

Assertiveness and Self-Confidence: Crucial for payment enforcement and debtor discussions. The ability to remain professional and firm without being swayed by the client's emotions.
Negotiation Skills: The ability to reach compromises (e.g., payment plans, intermediary solutions) that secure the company's interests while maintaining a positive client relationship.
High Professional Etiquette: Important for building relationships with key internal stakeholders (Sales, Finance) and professionally representing the company externally.

2. Analytical and Operational Skills

Organization and Prioritization: Managing the dunning process requires discipline; the candidate must identify which accounts require immediate escalation and which only need routine reminders.
Meticulousness and Attention to Detail: Essential for "Cash Application" (payment posting). Errors in cash allocation can lead to unjustified dunning and client frustration.
Investigative Mindset: In "Deduction Management," the candidate must be able to investigate why a client paid less (e.g., pricing errors, logistics issues, or unauthorized discounts) and route the issue to the appropriate team.

3. Substantive and Technical Knowledge

Understanding the Order-to-Cash (O2C) Process: Knowledge of the links between orders, deliveries, invoices, and payments.
Accounts Receivable (AR) Fundamentals: Knowledge of how to post payments, clear adjustments, and interpret account balances.
Proficiency in ERP Systems (e.g., SAP): Most tasks (dunning, cash application, payments) are performed within a financial system.
Advanced Excel: Essential for analyzing account statements and reporting receivable statuses.

4. Attitude and Mindset

Result-Oriented: A strong focus on reducing debt ratios and recovering overdue amounts.
Proactivity (Continuous Improvement): A willingness to challenge the status quo and propose process improvements to avoid recurring disputes (e.g., regarding pricing).
Stress Resilience: Collections work involves difficult conversations and time pressure, particularly during month-end closing periods.
