Data Architect

At Roche, we offer a hybrid work model that combines flexibility with in-person collaboration. For now, we require our employees to be in our offices on average two days per week. The specific office days may vary depending on business needs, such as workshops, conferences, town halls, team meetings, and other collaborative events.

The Opportunity

As a Data Architect, you will shape future-ready data architectures that directly impact our mission to improve global healthcare. Operating within a collaborative data ecosystem, you will translate complex product requirements into scalable, enterprise-standard solutions.

You will contribute to this vision by:

* Designing innovative solutions that meet business priorities, technical standards, and critical non-functional requirements across the data product life cycle.
* Maintaining the strategic architectural roadmap, vision, and current landscape for our data solutions to ensure scalability and long-term viability.
* Solving complex data challenges with a fresh perspective, evaluating multiple sources of information to drive sound architectural choices.
* Defining reference architectures and patterns, ensuring that Architecture Decision Records (ADRs) are rigorously documented and maintained.
* Partnering with delivery teams to provide architectural oversight, consult on design patterns, proactively manage technical debt, and optimize existing data systems.
* Evaluating emerging data technologies and piloting cutting-edge solutions to continuously enhance data governance and business value.
* Fostering consensus across diverse stakeholder groups by communicating complex technical information with clarity, openness, and empathy.

Who You Are

You are a forward-thinking technical leader who thrives on turning data complexity into clarity. You are passionate about data governance and eager to collaborate with cross-functional teams to build sustainable, high-impact systems.

To find success in this role, you bring:

* Demonstrated experience designing business-driven, standards-based, future-ready data architectures across single or multiple data domains.
* Deep technical knowledge in core data technology areas, including a strong understanding of Conceptual & Logical Data Models, Taxonomies, and Ontologies.
* Proven capability in establishing reference architectures, defining fitness functions, tracking industry trends, and assessing vendor technology feasibility.
* Exceptional communication skills with a natural ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and build collaborative consensus.
* A proactive, growth-oriented mindset focused on minimizing technical debt, identifying value-add opportunities, and mentoring peers within the broader data community.

Compensation & Benefits
The expected salary range for this position, based on the primary location of Warsaw Grafit is 170,100.00 PLN - 315,900.00 PLN. Final compensation will be determined by a number of factors, including your skills, experience, qualifications, and location. In addition to base pay, this role may be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus with a target of 15% subject to both individual and company performance.
