We have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Lead (18 Month FTC) to join our Siemens Mobility - Rail Infrastructure/Mobile Communications business in Poole. Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager you will have financial responsibility for a global portfolio of high technology projects and manage a team of finance staff.
This role requires at least 3 days in the office per week, to collaborate closely with the wider team.
You'll make a difference by:
* Being a key member of the local management team as a finance business partner.
* Providing day-to-day management, support and guidance to the local Finance team.
* Providing robust governance across projects within the portfolio including order entry calculations, period end accruals and actuals, final project positions, currency hedging and variance analysis.
* Owning the finance input to support bid & tender activity ensuring that bids are robust and that risks & opportunities are well understood.
* Forecasting of key financial metrics on projects and local overhead costs and recoveries as part of monthly reporting to the executive team.
* Providing challenge and insight on finance topics within Project Reviews, local Management Meetings and within the wider business.
* Ensuring compliance with Project Accounting Process, Project contractual requirements and financial reporting requirements within the regional finance team.
* Driving process improvement with a strong emphasis on unlocking the benefits of digitalization & automation.
Your role profile may vary from time to time in accordance with business needs. Your annual objective setting with your line manager will outline any additional responsibilities required to meet business or individual development needs for the forthcoming financial year
