Job Description

Reporting to the Cell Leader in Component Repair weld shop.
The ability to weld and braze precision aircraft engine components for engine overhaul, assembly, and test. Work unsupervised while maintaining a safe working environment and producing high quality components.

Responsibilities

* Carry out TIG welding of aircraft engine components to fine tolerance limits.
* Knowledge of brazing procedures.
* Perform a level of mechanical fitting functions.
* Familiar with engineering drawings and OEM technical manuals.
* Use of measuring equipment and be able to inspect engine components.
* Precise attention to detail and a high level of concentration.
* Good manual dexterity.
* PC work including working with OEM manuals.

Qualifications/Requirements:

* Time served welder with apprenticeship/qualification essential.
* Experience of working in a welding workshop environment.
* Knowledge or understanding of Local Heat Treat processes would be beneficial, although not essential.

* All staff are expected to display a mature and positive attitude.
* All staff are expected to carry out any other tasks as may be reasonably requested by supervisor/management.
