About the role
The Renewals Plant Maintenance Fitter will Repair, maintenance and
preparation of equipment for hire, as directed by the Maintenance supervisor.
Ensure a clear understanding of rules, regulations and standards. Ensure that a safe system of work is always carried out and protect the health and safety of self and others.
What you'll be doing

Ensure a clear understanding of rules, regulations and standards.

health and safety of self and others.
Maintain regular contact with the customer whilst in the field ensuring feedback on service quality and updating any relevant individuals of progress or problems.
Ensure problems are followed up and resolved effectively
Ensure regular communications with the Foreman Fitter regarding
performance, coverage and objectives
Ensure smooth flow and control of paperwork for processing
Ensure best value practices are obtained in the procurement of
goods and services.
Provide feedback on all safety issues to the Maintenance supervisor as required.
Who we're looking for
Ideally served a recognised engineering apprenticeship
Multi Trade skills for Mechanical / Electrical, Pneumatic and Hydraulic systems
Knowledge of and experience in the Rail industry
Good resource management skills
Good interpersonal skills;
Undertake road vehicle driving as required
Ability to work to Maintenance programme timescales/deadlines
Must meet and maintain the appropriate medical standard for the position
Knowledge of health & safety legislation/risk management/COSHH awareness
