Job Description:
Salary: £59,000 - £70,000

Leonardo UK operates a grade-based salary framework with broad bands. The salary range shown reflects the approved grade band for this role, or a narrower hiring range published within that band, and is benchmarked against the external market. Exceptions above the standard range are managed through governance controls to protect internal equity.

Your impact
You will act as a point of reference for Project Manager(s) on all matters concerning Procurement. You will manage Procurement activities within the project(s): prepare and update Procurement Plans, manage purchases and suppliers and negotiate framework agreements with the suppliers. You will manage the expediting for Line of Business critical path procurement activities, complete and harmonize the Procurement Plan with the Category Plan, and Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI), certify and manage cost estimates and actual external procurement costs throughout project life cycle. Your role will include coordinating, conducting and attending supplier visits requiring both with national and international travel.

What you'll bring
* Ensure the respect of the purchasing budget according to the contracted business plan and contractual requirements.
* Acts as a point of reference for Project Manager(s) on all matters concerning Procurement.
* Within IPTs, manage Procurement activities within the project(s):
* prepare and update Procurement Plans,
* manage purchases and suppliers,
* negotiate framework agreements with the suppliers,
* manage the expediting for Line of Business critical path procurement activities,
* complete and harmonise the Procurement Plan with the Category Plan, and Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI),
* certify and manage cost estimates and actual external procurement costs throughout project life cycle,
* verify the consistency of purchase requests with demand planning
* support to define 'should' costing and coordinate supplier innovative product.
* Coordinating and conducting and attending supplier visits requiring both with national and international travel.
* Identify the external costs related to contract procurement and ensure, together with the Project Manager, the alignment with the purchasing budget with respect to the contracted business plan.
* Support the aggregation of future needs coming from different Procurement Plans.
* Share and discuss with Suppliers a long-term view of Business needs and purchase portfolio projection to align Supply Chain on future Business trends. Discuss feasibility plans with Suppliers to enable the Supply Chain in supporting future company Business
* Support the consolidation of business needs within a global view, managing the overall requirements
