A Snapshot of Your Day

The Travel Technician Team is a permanently employed, highly skilled and experienced UK-based team deployed to operational sites around the UK working on a 14/14 - two weeks on two weeks off rotation pattern.

We support operational sites by bringing the correct level of competence and the right attitudes to support with annual service campaigns and troubleshooting activities. We are also key in supporting new sites as they come online to not only support the site operations but to train and develop the local technicians.

This is a travelling role so applicants would need to be willing to work anywhere in the UK and travel on each rotation.

There is an expectation that the successful candidate will also push their own personal development to achieve Troubleshooter level in the Wind Turbine Competence Framework, but we also offer many other opportunities for personal development and growth.

How You'll Make an Impact

* Experience of working on Siemens/Senvion /Gamesa Wind Turbine Platforms and are signed off as a G2 or D3 Maintenance level or above.
* Electrical/Mechanical scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities on varied wind turbines
* Coordinates and accomplishes defined service operations and/or resolves product issues for customers equipment.
* Assisting the team in the completion contractual extra scopes including Turbine Mounted Safety Equipment (TMSE), Crane and Lift inspection and maintenance
* Ensure compliance with Siemens Gamesa standards in relation to Environment Health and Safety (EHS), Quality and Service delivery.
* Support for the welfare of technicians whilst on site and escalation of any issues relating to Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), transportation and equipment.
* Provide accurate reporting into and utilization of Monitoring Operations and Registration System (MORS) database and other electronic workflow systems.
* Supervising the Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy (SGRE) team members, third party technicians, contractors, and sub-contractors for various required scope delivery.
* Excellent personal admin and correct completion of all related paperwork.
* Support technical supervision of critical tasks as required.
* Ensure compliance with customer and contractual obligations whilst executing work packages / tasks Guarantee compliance with site rules and regulations.
* Maintain efficient timescales for delivery of service activities to assist in the creation of daily, weekly plans with site teams.
* Supporting the development of yourself, your colleagues, and apprentices.
* Onsite support for customer operational issues and site visits and ad-hoc support such as retro fits as required.
* Work proactively with third party technicians, contractors and sub-contractors and facilitate planning and execution of third-party work including EHS compliance.

What You Bring

* The candidate requires a minimum of level 3 electrical education and/or mechanical education. (e.g., National Vocational Qualification level 3 or 4, apprenticeship or equivalent) or already hold an SGRE authorization at Competence Technician/Maintenance Tech or above.
* Experience in an electrical maintenance or multi skilled maintenance role essential.
* A strong communicator willing to undertake assignments and work Individually.
* Experience working with Microsoft Office applications, Monitoring Operations and Registration System (MORS) and Fluix.
* A self-motivated individual with ability to cope with the pressures of time.
* Due to the location of the role and the role requirements, the successful candidate must have a valid driving license and be able to pass a medical subject to employment.
