Position Overview
DB Global Technology is Deutsche Bank's technology centre in Central and Eastern Europe. Since its set-up in 2013, Bucharest Technology Centre (BEX) has constantly proven its capacity to deliver global technology products and services, playing a dynamic role in the Bank's technology transformation.

Responsibilities:
1. Defect Lifecycle Management & Prioritization
* Proactively monitor and analyze feedback from user channels, automated tests, and manual testing efforts to accurately identify, reproduce, and document software defects.
* Take ownership of defect creation, tracking, and status updates within our defect management tools (Jira, Confluence), ensuring accuracy and completeness.
* Facilitate collaborative defect triage and prioritization sessions with development, testing, and product teams to align on impact, severity, and resolution timelines.
2. Reporting, Analysis & Root Cause Elimination
* Generate insightful periodic reports on defect status, trends, and team performance, providing clear visibility to all stakeholders.
* Perform in-depth analysis of defect patterns and historical data to identify root causes and systemic issues.
* Lead and facilitate Root Cause Analysis (RCA) sessions with relevant teams to devise and implement effective preventative measures and process improvements.
3. Communication, Collaboration & Stakeholder Alignment
* Provide timely and transparent status updates to all levels of stakeholders, ensuring alignment and managing expectations effectively.
* Actively participate in Agile ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives) and dedicated quality review meetings, representing the voice of quality and defect status.
* Proactively manage stakeholder expectations and navigate conflicting priorities related to defect resolution, fostering a collaborative and solution-oriented approach.
4. Process Optimization & Quality Enhancement
* Champion and support the continuous evolution of testing standards and Agile quality practices across the development lifecycle.
* Drive initiatives aimed at reducing defect injection rates in future releases and improving overall product quality proactively.
* Identify potential risks associated with critical defects and collaborate with teams to develop robust mitigation and contingency strategies.
5. Knowledge Sharing & Team Enablement
* Develop and deliver training sessions to mentor team members on defect management processes, tooling best practices, and effective defect reporting.
* Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date documentation of defect management workflows, lessons learned, and team guidelines.
Skills:
* Proven experience (5+ years) in QA, defect management, or a similar quality assurance role.
* Expert-level proficiency with defect tracking tools (Jira, Confluence) and experience configuring workflows.
* Strong understanding and practical experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
* Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills with a keen eye for detail.
* Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities, capable of translating technical issues into business impact.
* A collaborative spirit with a demonstrated ability to work effectively across diverse cross-functional teams.
* A highly proactive mindset, continuously seeking opportunities for improvement and dedicated to fostering a culture of quality.
