THE DIFFERENCE YOU MAKE

Banco Santander looking for a Business Banking Platform Owner Global based out of Madrid .

Define and structure the platforms, channels and operating model required to deploy the global Business Banking strategy, reporting to the Global Head of Business Banking, with a strong focus on scalability, simplification and consistent rollout across geographies.

We're shaping the way we work through innovation, cutting-edge technology, collaboration and the freedom to explore new ideas. To succeed in this role, you will be responsible for:
- Platforms
* Define and govern the global platforms and capabilities required to execute the Business Banking strategy.
* Translate business strategy and needs into clear, executable requirements for platforms and channels, in coordination with local and global Domains and T&O.
* Contribute to the design and evolution of the global omnichannel model (digital, remote and assisted).
* Drive operational simplification, standardization and complexity reduction across platforms.
* Ensure platform impact on customer experience, NPS and service quality.
- PMO & Roadmap
* Define and maintain the global platform roadmap, aligned with strategic priorities.
* Coordinate dependencies across Platforms, Domains (global and local), T&O, Data and Countries.
* Ensure alignment between Run and Change, identifying operational risks and transition needs.
* Define deployment and rollout approaches (pilots, scale-up, global replication).
* Provide executive visibility on delivery progress, risks and blockers.
- Governance & Stakeholders
* Act as a reference point and coordinator across key business, technology and operations stakeholders.
* Establish and coordinate platform governance models with countries and global forums.
* Prepare executive materials related to platforms, channels and delivery for ExCo, Steering Committees and global forums.
* Support senior decision-making, ensuring alignment and focus on impact.

Professional Experience
* Experience in platform, technology or operating model transformation, preferably within banking or financial services. (Required).
* Experience working in international and cross-functional environments, coordinating multiple stakeholders. (Required).

Education
* Degree in Engineering or related technical fields (Required).

Languages
* Fluent English (Required).
* Portuguese (Preferred).

Hard Skills
* Solid understanding of omnichannel models and their operational implications. (Required).
* Proven ability to translate business strategy into scalable, executable solutions. (Required).
Soft Skills
* Strong executive communication and structuring skills to support senior decision-making.
