THE DIFFERENCE YOU MAKE
Openbank is looking for a PRODUCT & CONSUMER PROTECTION COMPLIANCE SPECIALIST based out of Madrid.
You will contribute to the definition, implementation, and oversight of the product governance, commercialization, and consumer protection framework within Openbank's Compliance and Conduct function, ensuring that banking products and services are designed, distributed, and managed throughout their lifecycle in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements, conduct principles, and customer protection standards. You will also be responsible for advertising controls over all materials published by the different teams.

* Provide regulatory advice and support to business, product, and distribution areas, ensuring appropriate management of regulatory compliance and conduct principles in the commercialization of banking products and services throughout their lifecycle (design, approval, commercialization, and post-sale) for the Spanish market.
* Participate in the new product approval process (Product Approval Process), assessing associated regulatory and conduct risks and verifying that product governance procedures have been properly applied prior to commercialization.
* Review and oversee contracting flows and commercialization processes across different channels (digital and remote), ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, transparency principles, and consumer protection standards.
* Perform periodic monitoring of conduct and customer protection risks, including the analysis of relevant indicators such as:
* Complaints and root cause analysis.
* Processes for vulnerable customers.
* Quality controls and call Monitoring.
* Review of incentives and remuneration models for the sales force
* Other conduct and customer experience indicators
* Contribute to the implementation of new regulations affecting the commercialization of banking products and consumer protection, supporting the responsible areas in their interpretation and implementation.
* Prepare reports and presentations on conduct risks and regulatory compliance for internal committees, senior management, and control functions.
* Respond to supervisory requests and collaborate in internal or external audit reviews related to conduct, product governance, and consumer protection matters.
* Carry out advertising registration controls, handle advertising audits, manage changes in the advertising tool, and coordinate with the teams involved in the registration process.

Professional Experience
* +2 to 3 years of professional experience in functions related to compliance, conduct, financial regulation, or audit within the financial sector.
* Experience acquired in the following areas will be particularly valued:
* Compliance or Conduct areas within financial institutions
* Internal Audit or control functions in the financial sector
* Previous experience in regulatory implementation projects or in reviewing financial product commercialization processes will also be valued.
Education
* University degree, preferably in Law, Business Administration, Economics, or related fields.
* Additional training in financial regulation, compliance, or risk management will be considered a plus (preferred)
Language
* Spanish (Required)
* English (Required)
Hard Skills
* Experience in preparing regulatory reports and presentations for internal committees or supervisory functions.
* Proficiency in analysis and reporting tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, or other information management tools).
* Experience in digital banking environments, review of digital contracting journeys, or analysis of conduct risks in non-face-to-face channels will be especially valued.
Soft Skills
* Analytical skills and risk-oriented mindset, with the ability to identify regulatory and conduct risks in products and commercialization processes.
* Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills, with experience interacting with business, product, technology, data, and other control functions.
* Critical thinking and constructive challenge capability, especially in regulatory and control environments.
* Ability to synthesize complex information and translate it into clear reports for different audiences (internal committees, management, or supervisors).
* Organization and ability to manage multiple regulatory initiatives in parallel.
