Responsibilities
* Serve as a member of the site leadership team to collaboratively set strategies; generate master plan activities, employee engagement activities, and loss elimination ideas; and ensure the target results are delivered.
* Develop the cultural vision that provides the foundation for the IWS journey at the site.
* Continuously expand and enhance IWS knowledge levels.
* Lead the site leadership team in integrating the appropriate actions to support the cultural vision and to support the delivery of the compelling business need (CBN). Be the change agent within a site leadership team that focuses on how results are delivered and sustained (i.e., IWS is the work).
* Build the capability of site leaders to implement IWS systems, tools, methodologies, capabilities, and standards.
* Ensure IWS tools and methodologies are used to drive all site result opportunities and ensure all results are being sustained or improved per the site master plan, including owning how breakthrough performance is achieved.
* Be responsible for the phased implementation of IWS at the site and for benchmarking with other sites in the division to drive best practices and standard work.
* Lead the process reliability (PR) process, including maintaining measurement standards, coaching on improvement plans and strategies, training, coaching, and monthly reporting.
* Establish and maintain plant key performance indicators (KPIs) and visual plant tools.
Tasks:
* Coach and lead the site leadership team through Pillar ownership and develop an understanding of the IWS strategy.
* Manage, supervise, and monitor the implementation of the IWS Pillars, liaising where appropriate with site teams, and assessing implementation reviews and audit successes against the expected IWS Pillar delivery targets.
* Implement the plan, do, check, act (PDCA) cycle to align leadership and activities with the plan.
* Implement the IWS qualification process for your role and that of all Pillar owners at the site, and validate IWS qualifications.
* Implement step-up cards (SUCs), coordinate self-assessments, and coordinate external assessments for all Pillar owners using the Pillar SUCs.
* Develop an operating objectives, goals, strategies, and measures (OGSM) for the site, and ensure this is linked to the group OGSM and compelling business need (CBN).
* Develop the transition and development plan to address training needs at the site, including addressing college and training book needs.
* Update and manage the site Phase scorecard, and implement Pillar health checks with all Pillar owners.
* Set up and manage the weekly, monthly, and quarterly drumbeat of meetings to review the progress, schedule, and culture of the IWS implementation.
* Arrange and manage one-on-one coaching sessions with all Pillar owners.
* Focus the leadership team on coaching on the floor, and ensure adherence to the no meeting zone.
* Work with Human Resources, and Learning and Development, to ensure succession plans are established.
* Install a culture of continuous improvement throughout the site utilizing IWS.

* Serve as a team member, facilitator and/or leader as the team role warrants
* Manage and motivate employees in a team-based environment
* Prepare and deliver presentations and reports to a variety of stakeholders
* Ability to teach, coach, & develop others both on the plant floor & on the plant leadership team
* Long term planning (strategic) with intermediate actions along the way (tactical)
* Process-driven, loss-focused, results-oriented approach
* Problem solving skill-set (by degree engineering or by experience)
* Proven leadership skills
* Collaboration ability to partner with & influence others
Qualifications And Experience
* Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited college or university is preferred
* Five or more years of relevant work experience
* Experience working within the production environment
* IWS experience preferred (at minimum, experience in Lean, Six Sigma or similar Lean system.
