Grupo Palex is a leading and continuously growing group in the hospital and healthcare solutions sector. We are currently looking for a Business Data Management to join our Business Strategy, Data & Transformation Office, based in Sant Cugat del Vallès (Barcelona).
This role will be responsible for building and leading the Group's Data Governance framework, ensuring data quality, ownership, standardization and scalability across countries, business units and future acquisitions. The position works closely with Business, Finance, Operations, IT and Country Organizations, acting as the bridge between local and corporate stakeholders to ensure trusted and reliable information across the Group.
This is a strategic role within a complex, multi-country and multi-company environment, with a direct impact on business performance management, decision-making and future growth.
Main Responsibilities
* Data Governance & Standards
o Design and implement the Group Data Governance framework, including data ownership, stewardship and governance processes.
o Define policies, standards and procedures to ensure consistent and scalable data management across the Group.
o Promote a common data culture and governance model across countries and business units.
* Master Data & Standardization
o Establish governance over key business data domains, including Product Master Data, Commercial Hierarchies and Business Structures.
o Drive data standardization and harmonization across countries to ensure consistency and comparability.
o Define ownership and maintenance processes for critical business data.
* Data Quality & Reliability
o Define and monitor data quality KPIs and validation controls.
o Lead initiatives to improve data accuracy, consistency, completeness and reliability.
o Reduce manual reconciliation efforts through standardization and governance practices.
* Business Performance Enablement
o Ensure trusted and consistent data foundations to support reporting, analytics, planning and decision-making.
o Define common business definitions, KPIs and performance metrics across the Group.
o Support Business Partnering and Financial Planning teams with reliable business information.
* Data Integration & Acquisitions
o Lead business data integration activities during acquisitions, ensuring alignment with Group governance and reporting standards.
o Support the incorporation of newly acquired businesses into the Group data ecosystem.
* Stakeholder & IT Collaboration
o Act as the key interface between Business, Finance, Operations, IT and Country Organizations.
o Define business requirement
Profile we are looking for
* Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Information Systems, Finance, Data Management or similar.
* Proven experience in Data Governance, Master Data Management, Business Intelligence, Business Performance Management or related areas.
* Strong understanding of business performance drivers, commercial analytics and financial concepts.
* Experience working in multi-country and complex organizational environments.
* Ability to connect data management initiatives with business outcomes and strategic objectives.
* Strong analytical mindset and problem-solving capabilities.
* Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to work across functions and countries.
* Experience leading transformation, standardization or organizational change initiatives.
* High level of English is essential.
* Experience in acquisitions, integration projects or international corporate environments will be highly valued.
