About you and this role

This role is responsible to safety-focused, detail-oriented operator who enjoys working in a fast-paced plant environment. In this role, you will operate assigned equipment and plant areas, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient performance. You proactively monitor processes, respond to unplanned events, and keep the plant running at optimal conditions. You work closely with shift teams to troubleshoot issues, follow operating discipline, and support continuous improvement. You may also mentor less experienced operators as part of the plant's training process.

Responsibilities
* Operate and field-check plant equipment while following Operating Discipline policies, procedures, and standards. Monitor process conditions, equipment performance, control systems, and key metrics to maintain desired operating rates.
* Perform routine operational tasks and respond to unplanned events efficiently.
* Collaborate with shift team members to balance workload and complete tasks on time. Conduct structured shift handovers to ensure clear communication.
* Maintain required qualifications and complete training goals within expected timelines. Mentor and train new or existing operators in process operations and troubleshooting.
* Perform Immediate Response duties as assigned. Initiate preliminary investigations and participate in root cause analyses.
* Track operational metrics to identify improvement opportunities and enhance plant performance. Suggest improvements through facility improvement processes and Management of Change (MOC) workflows. Perform autonomous maintenance tasks, including minor repairs and preventive maintenance (as permitted locally).

Qualifications
* Preferred: Associate's Degree (Short-Cycle Tertiary Degree) in Process Technology or a related technical field.
* Alternatively: Equivalent operational, manufacturing, or process operations experience in place of a degree.
* Production Unit certifications may be required depending on the site.

Your Skills
* Strong understanding of plant operations and process equipment.
* Ability to troubleshoot operational issues and respond effectively to unplanned events.
* High attention to safety and adherence to procedures.
* Good teamwork and communication skills, especially during shift handovers.
* Ability to learn continuously and close knowledge gaps quickly.
* Basic technical/mechanical skills for minor maintenance and inspections.
* Capability to mentor and guide less experienced operators. Ability to analyses operational data and identify improvement opportunities.

* No relocation is available for this role.
*
Fluency in Swedish and English (both written and verbal) is required.
* Operator progression is managed at the site level and may vary by location.
* Role requires high reliability, ownership, and the ability to work under pressure.
* Strong commitment to safety, compliance, and Operating Discipline is essential.
* The position involves hands-on work in a plant environment, including responding to operational upsets
