The Position
Our Global Pharma Strategy (GPS) team plays a pivotal role in shaping the future of healthcare by driving the strategic direction of our innovative product portfolio. As a member of the GPS team, you will be at the forefront of transforming groundbreaking scientific discoveries into accessible and impactful healthcare solutions for patients worldwide. We are seeking a dynamic and visionary professional who thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about making a difference.
As a Commercial Marketing Leader (CML), you are a champion of our global brands, leading the development and execution of end-to-end disease area (DA) commercial strategies and translating scientific data into compelling value stories. Reporting to the Head of Commercial Marketing, you act as an opportunity scout and global catalyst, leading and enabling flawless execution to maximize patient uptake while sitting on a Commercialization Leadership Team (CLT) or within the broader DA marketing team.
The Opportunity
* Lead the development and realization of the Disease Area Commercial Strategy (DACS), Brand Strategy Guidance, Brand Book, and the Commercial Operationalization and Resource Plan (CORP).
* Drive marketing strategy at the portfolio or individual medicine level, including co-positioning, market shaping, and launch readiness for new molecular entities and line extensions.
* Serve as a matrix leader for strategy stewards and work package owners, coordinating marketing efforts across global and key markets to maintain agility through consent-based decision making.
* Architect ecosystems that link scientific innovation to market reality, translating complex insights into actionable competitive tactics that drive superior brand performance.
* Design and execute customer-centric omnichannel and iCX strategies by leveraging digital platforms, data analytics, and AI to deliver personalized customer journeys.
* Sponsor and lead critical work packages including pre-SREP work, TPP input, integrated value narratives, and competitive scenario planning.
* Partner with senior stakeholders and coordinate between commercial functions and key affiliates to drive organizational pull-through and ensure the highest impact for patients.
Who You Are
* Experienced marketer with at least 10 years in global or affiliate marketing across the full product lifecycle, with specific interest in candidates with experience in Obesity or FMCG marketing.
* Visionary leader who brings simplicity to complex environments and influences senior stakeholders through radical clarity in communication.
* Strategic and agile professional with a proven ability to connect dots and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
* Embodiment of the VACC mindset (Visionary, Architect, Catalyst, Coach) with a strong commitment to organizational alignment once decisions are made.
* Technically proficient in the science of marketing and omnichannel strategies, with the ability to leverage data-driven insights to drive desired outcomes.
This role is being recruited for the Cardiovascular Renal Metabolic (CVRM) Therapy Area. We are especially interested to hear from candidates with prior experience in Obesity. We would also be interested in hearing from candidates with a background in FMCG marketing, for example, sports drinks.
