We are seeking an Edging & Mounting Specialist to join our team in Budapest, responsible for edging and mounting eyeglass lenses, performing adjustments and repairs, and ensuring accurate, timely order fulfillment in line with prescriptions and company standards.

CS specialist tasks

* Advise on frame and lens selection based on prescriptions and organizational standards.

* Mount lenses into frames according to specifications and prescriptions.

* Determine lens characteristics from medical prescriptions or optician requests; order raw lenses as needed.

* Grind lenses to size and perform edging operations.

* Repair and service optical devices; adjust frames and lenses for customers based on optician data.

* Perform administrative tasks: monitor orders, polishing, complaints, and dispatches in the system.

* Sort frames and decide which edging tasks to outsource (Delta or Optilab Solutions).

* Register all internal edging and mounting activities daily for transparency across departments.

* Respond to inquiries from CIC regarding delivery times, frame details, and diameters.

* Calibrate frames and support CIC with technical information.

* Evaluate positions for optimal aesthetics and quality.

* Conduct final inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards.

* Communicate daily with Stock Department and CIC.

* Performance Indicators: number of edgings performed per day, accuracy and quality (low return/mistake rate), timely communication and reporting.

The candidate must also have:

* knowledge of the English language, written and verbal

* previous experience/knowledge with ophthalmic lenses and optical equipment

* computer skills (Microsoft Office, the Internet and Outlook)

* a friendly, impartial and flexible approach to work related tasks;

* working experience on the same or similar position (a preferable requirement);

* good communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills

* an eye for detail and neatness
