Your Role And Responsibilities

We're looking for a curious, analytical, and technically driven intern to join IBM's Salesforce practice in a Technical Consultant (Developer) & GTM internship role. This position is ideal for someone interested in software development, system design, and platform engineering - with opportunities to explore a long-term career in Salesforce development and digital transformation.

As an Intern, you'll work closely with our consulting and GTM teams to support solution development, customization, and platform innovation. You'll gain real exposure to how IBM designs, builds and delivers Salesforce solutions that help organizations transform the way they serve their customers, employees, citizens, and partners.

What You'll Do

* Support the design, development, and customization of solutions on the Salesforce platform
* Assist in building features using Apex, Lightning Web Components and OOTB configuration
* Help implement automation using Salesforce Flow and other declarative tools
* Participate in debugging, testing, and deploying Salesforce applications and enhancements
* Work with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions
* Assist with data management tasks, including data imports, validation, and basic querying (SOQL)
* Contribute to technical documentation, solution design notes, and development best practices
* Learn how AI agents and automation can improve customer and user experiences on the Salesforce platform
* Learn how Salesforce technology supports digital transformation and build foundational development skills

This position is open to applicants who reside in Toronto and is a 4-month internship work term, commencing in September 2026. It is mandatory that all applicants are enrolled in full-time studies at a post-secondary institution and returning to full-time studies upon completion of their work term. Regular travel to the office and client sites is required, and the individual is expected to commute and be available for in-person collaboration as needed. Please note that MBA and PHD candidates are not eligible for this program.

Required Technical And Professional Expertise

Skills & Experience

* Currently enrolled in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related programs
* Foundational knowledge of programming (e.g., Java, JavaScript, or similar)
* Exposure to Apex or Lightning Web Components is an asset
* Understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
* Familiarity with object-oriented programming concepts and data structures
* Exposure to APIs or system integrations (REST) is a plus
* Experience with version control tools (e.g., Git) is an asset
* Hands-on experience with Salesforce (e.g., Trailhead, personal projects) is a bonus
* Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks
