Our team at the BMW Group explores the capabilities and boundaries of conversational AI systems. We develop foundational insights for next-generation multi-agent AI and foster an innovative research environment where you can contribute to impactful projects.

What awaits you?

* You will support conducting a structured literature review on form complexity, conversational assistants, and long-horizon reasoning.

* In addition, you help to develop a clear and scientifically grounded taxonomy for different types of forms.

* Moreover, you will assist in designing and implementing a simple single-agent baseline system for automated form completion.

* Furthermore, you contribute to evaluating the system across your taxonomy with technical, reproducible metrics.

* You will help to perform systematic error analysis and identify limitations of single-agent approaches.

* Additionally, you support documenting your findings in a rigorous and publication-ready manner.

Please note that your thesis must be supervised by a university on your part.

What should you bring along?

* Studies in computer science, human-computer interaction, data science, AI or a related field.

* Strong enthusiasm for conversational AI and profound understanding of such systems.

* Experience in Python and basic software development practices.

* Good analytical and conceptual skills.

* Familiarity with scientific writing and literature review methods.

* Optional: Experience with frameworks such as LangChain.

* Good English skills.
