The Group Actuarial Function (GAF) is one of the Solvency II Control Functions and reports to the Board of Directors. Its key mission is to coordinate and validate the Solvency II Technical Provisions and express a independent opinion on the underwriting policy and on the adequacy of the reinsurance arrangements. The GAF is composed of a central team (in the Group Head Office, GHO) and several local teams established in each country. The central team is further organized into 4 units, covering different activities: life business, non-life business, coordination and oversight on the Insurance Regions perimeter.
As Group Actuarial Function Coordination our mission is to:
* Coordinate and monitor initiatives, activities and cross functional projects involving different GAF departments and interactions with the local actuarial functions
* Define and oversee the actuarial function (AF) organizational model, updating and cascading the GAF internal regulation across the Group
You will support to the Head of Group Actuarial Coordination Function in:
* Coordinating and driving alignment and consistency across the activities of GAF teams such as (i) the definition and update of the AF standard reference framework including methodologies and reporting templates; (ii) the oversight and reporting on Assicurazioni Generali statutory reserves and Group reserving analysis; (iii) the contribution to the Solvency II technical provisions Assicurazioni Generali and Group reporting package
* Defining the yearly activity plan ensuring approval from the to be approved byBoard of Directors, steering the cascading across the Group and monitoring its completion
* Leading collaboration with the local actuarial function network, managing initiatives and interactions with the local actuarial function network, analyzing the local deliverables and providing ad-hoc support
* Shaping and reinforcing the Group AF governance framework defining the governance principles, responsibilities, processes and perimeter of application of the AF organizational model in the Group, ensuring the cascading at local level of the relevant internal regulation, supporting and monitoring its adoption
Main tasks include:
* Preparing and analyzing reports on key area of interests of the actuarial function (e.g. technical provisions, local statutory reserves, Group reserving analysis);
* Contributing to the Solvency II public disclosure and regulatory reporting requirements
* Analyzing and challenging local deliverables and engage the local actuarial function teams within the Group, performing ad-hoc deep-dives and providing support
* Reviewing the AF standard reference framework (internal regulations, methodologies, reporting templates, etc) to be provided to the local actuarial function teams
* Contributing to cross-functional projects involving both life and non-life analyses
Requisiti del candidato:
* Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Statistic, Actuarial Sciences, Economics, Mathematics or other quantitative fields
* General understanding of actuarial techniques, accounting standards and insurance products
* Proactive approach, strong collaboration skills and ability to effectively interact with key stakeholders
* Good numerical and analytical skills, with attention to details
* Fluency in English
Soft skills:
* Good presentation skills
* Solution oriented and strong problem solving skills
Nice to have:
* Knowledge of actuarial software
* Experience with AI tools, prompt engineering and automated analytics
* Experience in validating technical provisions or auditing activities in general
* Experience with international projects / working environment
