YOUR ROLE You will join a multidisciplinary R&D group specialized in biological and chemical applications. You will start a new project on the evaluation of different platforms and technologies in the field of electrochemical detection of water pollutants. Your job will consist of the following steps: * Study of the state of the art; * Selection from available (ST or otherwise) solutions of the most appropriate technology, including for example, but not limited to, electrochemical sensing (cyclovoltammetry, Ion Sensitive Field Effect Transistor…), Raman spectroscopy, IR detection; * Sensing method implementation to satisfy analysis requirements; * Final system prototyping; * Testing on the field, data acquisition and analysis, benchmarking with certified laboratory analyses or commercial instruments. Beyond its technical value, the research and development of this electrochemical sensing platform aligns with the Alliance for Water Stewardship (AWS) Standard, addressing the 'Good Water Quality Status' outcome by providing on-site monitoring capabilities to mitigate shared water challenges. By quantifying specific pollutants with high sensitivity, this work supports the implementation of sustainable water policies, fostering a transparent and science-based governance of the water cycle. Such innovation is pivotal for industrial sites aiming to face global sustainability challenges through proactive stewardship. YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCES * Master's degree on going (looking for thesis) in Biological, Electronics Engineering, Material Science or similar; * Good teamwork skills; * Fluent English; * Basic knowledge of programming languages (e.g. Python, MatLab); * Knowledge of CAD design and 3D prototyping techniques capabilities are welcome, willingness to learn the basics where needed is required; * Good predisposition towards hands-on work.
