Work on a real developer tooling product (VS Code extension) used by embedded software engineers at STMicroelectronics. You will help integrate AI capabilities through GitHub Copilot into an existing solution, with a direct impact on the developer experience. This is a hands-on opportunity to work at the intersection of AI-assisted development, Language Server Protocol (LSP), and VS Code extension development a highly relevant and cutting-edge skill set in the current software industry. Required candidate's degree level: Software Engineering, or equivalent. Desired skills / study areas: TypeScript / JavaScript (required - the extension is fully written in TypeScript) VS Code Extension API or interest in editor tooling Familiarity with Language Server Protocol (LSP) is a plus Interest in AI/ML, specifically LLM-based coding assistants (GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT APIs) Knowledge of Handlebars / template engines is a plus Basic understanding of Node.js and monorepo tooling (Nx/Lerna) Study areas: Software Engineering, AI-assisted development English - required (technical documentation, GitHub issues, and code comments are in English) French - appreciated (team communication within the STMicroelectronics Embedded SW Team) ST is proud to be one of the 17 companies certified as a 2025 Global Top Employer and the first and only semiconductor company to achieve this distinction.
