Our technology starts with you. _________________________________________________________ YOUR ROLE You will take part in designing and developing a modern, secure web architecture for our employee e-kiosk, replacing a legacy PHP/ActiveX system. You will help us ensure sustainability, enhance security, and create a simple, efficient experience that seamlessly connects employees and manages their requests. * Design and develop a new version of our badge-based e-kiosk webapp . * Build and implement secure REST APIs for employee access and request management using PHP and/or Python (Django or Flask). * Develop a clear, user-friendly frontend interface using modern frameworks (React, Vue, or Angular) and integrate it with backend APIs. * Engineer a modern, maintainable mechanism to replace legacy ActiveX components for badge reading, utilizing local services (C#/.NET or Python) or modern browser APIs (WebUSB/WebSerial/WebHID). * Integrate the application with corporate WebSSO (SAML2 or OpenID Connect/OAuth2) and LDAP for centralized authentication and employee identity linkage. * Define and implement the end-to-end data flow: badge reader → local service → browser → back-end → authenticated session. YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCES * Currently pursuing a Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering , or a related field. * Strong foundation in backend development, specifically with PHP and Python (Django or fast API). * Proficiency in modern frontend technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript (ES6+), and hands-on experience with at least one major framework (React, Vue, or Angular). * Familiarity with authentication protocols and directory integration (WebSSO, SAML2, OAuth2, OpenID Connect, LDAP). * Knowledge of or strong interest in hardware-to-browser integration and local agents (C#/.NET, Python, or device APIs). * Solid understanding of REST API design, robust session handling, and secure web architectures. * Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to document and deliver a complete end-to-end prototype. * _____________________________________________________ ST is proud to be one of the 17 companies certified as a 2025 Global Top Employer and the first and only semiconductor company to achieve this distinction.
