ETL Trainee - Intern

We are seeking a motivated ETL Trainee with a strong foundation in SQL and a keen interest in data engineering. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn ETL processes, work with Pentaho Data Integration (PDI), and contribute to building robust data pipelines. This is an excellent opportunity for fresh graduates to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Education Level: Bachelor's degree in related field.
Experience Required: Fresh graduates or candidates with up to 1 year of experience in data engineering or software development.
Technical Expertise
* Strong SQL skills with the ability to write, debug, and optimize queries.
* Basic understanding of ETL concepts and data workflows.
* Familiarity with Pentaho Data Integration (PDI) or willingness to learn.
* Exposure to any programming language such as Python, Java, .NET, or Shell scripting.
* Understanding of relational databases and data formats such as XML and JSON.
* Knowledge of AWS services is a plus.
* Familiarity with Agile development practices and version control tools is desirable.

Skills and Knowledge
* Passion for data engineering and eagerness to learn ETL tools and practices.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
* Good verbal and written communication skills.
* Attention to detail and a disciplined approach to troubleshooting and documentation.
* Familiarity with tools like Jira and Confluence is a plus.

* Assist in the development and maintenance of ETL workflows for data extraction, transformation, and loading.
* Write and optimize SQL queries to support data operations and reporting.
* Learn and apply Pentaho Data Integration (PDI) for building ETL pipelines.
* Participate in debugging and troubleshooting ETL jobs and data issues.
* Support data quality checks, masking, and integrity validation processes.
* Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
* Engage in support activities and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
* Document processes and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team
